An online illustrated and very real market day I organised during lockdown! For STALL Manchester.

When organising to host a stall at the bustling STALL MCR early last year, covid hit.  Feeling there was still some way I could participate, support STALL and the other creatives there, I braved an email to the hosts. My idea was enthusiastically supported..

Instead of an in person market, I'd wondered whether we had now a unique and rather fun opportunity to try some kind of creative virtual market! I'd not seen anything like it when I proposed the idea. With STALL's help sourcing all their creative's contacts, I went on to support us to create a truly exciting illustrated market. Each stall holder was given guidence on how to create their own hand drawn stall, which I edited and put together to make a scrolling market, each one linked to the artist's online shop. We then hosted a market event and invited the public to come visit the illustrated market, so they could still have some fun perusing and supporting local artist's work and feel part of a unique community event.
